Your information, clearly handled

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 16, 2026

LabCast+ is a podcast player. There is no LabCast+ account, and Lab Architect does not collect what you subscribe to or listen to.

What stays on your device

  • Subscriptions: the shows you follow and their episode lists.
  • Listening state: your place in each episode, which episodes are played, and your Up Next queue.
  • Downloads: episodes you download, stored in the app’s storage until you or the app delete them.
  • Settings: your playback speed, skip intervals, download options and other preferences.
  • Widget and Apple Watch data: on iPhone, the current episode and its artwork are shared with the LabCast+ widget and the Apple Watch app on your own devices.

This information is kept in the app’s storage on your device. It is not sent to Lab Architect, and Lab Architect runs no server that receives it.

Podcast hosts

LabCast+ fetches each podcast’s feed, artwork and episodes directly from the servers where that podcast is published, whether you stream or download. Like any website you visit, those hosts see your device’s IP address and the request. The request identifies the app as LabCast+ and its version number, but contains no account, name or other personal information. What a host records, and whether it counts downloads or uses that data for advertising inside its own episodes, is governed by that host’s or publisher’s privacy policy, not this one.

Search and podcast links

When you search for a show or browse the top shows, LabCast+ sends your search words and your device’s country to Apple’s public iTunes Search API, the directory behind Apple Podcasts. When you paste an Apple Podcasts link, the show’s id is looked up the same way to find its RSS feed. Apple receives these requests with your IP address, under Apple’s privacy policy. No Apple Account sign-in is involved.

LabCast+ also contains support for the Podcast Index directory, which is switched off in the current version. If it is turned on in a future version, your searches would go to Podcast Index when you choose it in Settings, and this policy will be updated before that version ships.

OPML import and export

An OPML file you import is read on your device. An OPML file you export is created on your device and goes only where you send it.

Purchases

The current version of LabCast+ sells nothing and makes no purchase requests. Optional LabCast+ Unlock extras may be offered later. If they are, they will be bought through the store the app was installed from—Apple’s App Store on iPhone and iPad, or Google Play on Android—and the store will process the payment. Lab Architect would receive only the transaction status needed to unlock or restore access, never your payment details.

Purchase status would be verified through RevenueCat, a purchase-management service acting on Lab Architect’s behalf. RevenueCat would receive an anonymous purchase identifier and the store’s record of the transaction; LabCast+ would not send it your name, email address, subscriptions or listening history.

Diagnostic logs

LabCast+ keeps small technical logs (for example, what CarPlay did) on your device to help fix problems. They are never sent automatically. They leave your device only if you choose to share them with support.

What we do not do

  • No analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising software is included in the app.
  • No tracking across apps or websites, and neither Apple’s advertising identifier nor Google’s advertising ID is used.
  • No sale or sharing of personal information.

Deleting your data

Because your data is stored on your device, deleting LabCast+ removes its subscriptions, downloads, listening history and settings. Export an OPML file first if you want to keep your list of shows.

Children

LabCast+ is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If a future feature changes what LabCast+ handles, this policy will be updated with a new date before that feature ships.
